Annual Veteran Suicide Awareness March
Saturday, November 8th, 2025
The purpose of this event is three-fold: to raise awareness for the issue of veteran suicide, to show support to veterans and their families – those battling their mental health and those who have lost the battle, and to bring in funds to support the many H.O.O.A.H. WI programs available to all Wisconsin veterans.
KI Convention Center & Fox River Trail
Green Bay, WI
- 6:30AM: Registration opens
- Resource tables and activities. Day of registration available until 7:45AM
- 8:00AM: Program begins
- Keynote speaker, organization overview, sponsor and major donor recognition
- 9:00AM: Walk begins
- 17.6 or ~2.5 mile route along the Fox River Trail*
- The mileage is representative of the number of veterans who are lost to veteran suicide each day. Unfortunately, the mileage has increased in the last year. This is largely attributed to the timing of the data, as the 2023 report uses data from 2021, which was the first full year of COVID-19 regulations for social distancing, isolation, remote work and the cause for many socioeconomic struggles.
- 1:00PM: Welcome back opens at KI Convention Center
- Food and beverage provided by organization
- 5:00PM: Anticipated last walker’s return
- Finish line located outside of the KI Convention Center. Remaining attendees typically welcome in the last walker. This part of the event is intended for connection and support after people have had the opportunity to experience the event.
