SGT Mark Meunier was injured by a roadside bomb in Iraq which resulted in 8 surgeries to recover. Some of which included knee and reconstructive right ankle surgery. He was told he’d never run ever again. That was until he met Matt Gunnville who has personally trained him to use other muscles, and to adapt new CrossFit techniques to be able to get healthy and become mobile once again. When Mark’s journey to recovery and fitness began again he set a goal to be able to walk a marathon once more. On May 1st 2021 Mark will attempt to complete this task. He hopes to show other veterans that anything is possible as well as raise money to help veterans in need.
If you’d like to come see him off he will be starting at 5am from the Veteran’s Memorial outside of the Resch Center. He also plans to finish his journey there as well.
