SUMMARY:Bobby Klatt - Race Across The West
DESCRIPTION:Bobby Klatt is a cyclist who resides in Green Bay\, WI and is attempting to Race from Oceanside CA\, to Durango\, CO in 92 hours. The event itself is called the Race Across the West. He is partnering with 4th HOOAH of Wisconsin to raise funds for local Veterans in need. His goal is to raise over $10\,000 to support veteran’s needs through 4th HOOAH WI. \nBobby is originally from the small town of Cecil\, WI. He moved to Green Bay 18 years ago. Bobby entered the cycling world in 2016 and as a 1st year cyclist qualified for the Race across America by completing a 400 mile race in Minnesota that was a part of the RAAM series. That race took him 31 hours to complete. Since then\, he has completed several 100 mile rides and most recently climbed both Pikes Peak and Mount Evans in Colorado. \nBobby’s passion for cycling has brought him to a point where he would like to continue to grow as a cyclist and in addition\, help those in need. With a platform such as the Race Across the West\, he feels that it would be a waste of an opportunity not to give back by involving himself with an organization such as 4th HOOAH. \nWhen asked his motivation\, Bobby stated that\, “if we can help change the day to day of one veteran or motivate one person to better themselves\, then it’s a much bigger win than simply completing a race. It’s about understanding that anything is possible as long as you truly want it to be” In the words of Packer great Jerry Kramer\, “You can\, if you will” \nPlease contact Bobby with any questions or additional ways to support at his email: bklattcycling@gmail.com

SUMMARY:2018 WI - 20 & 2.0 Mile Veterans Suicide Awareness March
DESCRIPTION:The 2019 7th Annual Veteran Suicide Awareness Ruck March will be held on Saturday\, November 9th along the Fox River trail through Green Bay\, Allouez and De Pere. The Ruck is 20 miles to represent the number of Veterans reported by the VA who complete suicide every day. Last year\, more than 1000 Veterans\, active duty service members and civilians came together at the event to raise awareness and honor the lives and service of those who we have lost to this epidemic.\n \nMany of the participants are civilians\, active\, non-active\, and Veteran military personnel\, however\, all are encouraged to participate or attend to show their support.  Though it’s not a requirement\, many of the participants will be carrying a rucksack or backpack that weighs 20 lbs. in remembrance of the 20 Veterans that complete suicide each and every day.\n \nMoney raised will assist us to help those who are suffering from mental illness and are considering such a tragic fate.  Every Veteran deserves our help in overcoming such obstacles after serving our country and fighting for our freedoms.  4th H.O.O.A.H. WI will never turn a fellow service member\, a Veteran of the U.S. Military away\, but we need help and support to fulfill this promise. Thus\, we are asking you to join us this Veterans Day weekend and help us bring awareness to veterans suicide by sponsoring 4th H.O.O.A.H. WI’s 20 Mile Veteran Suicide Rucksack March.\n \nThis event is about joining together as a team to fight against Veteran suicide. There will be no prizes for finishing 1st\, 2nd or 3rd. However\, we will recognize those who go above and beyond in their fundraising efforts to better help 4th H.O.O.A.H. WI fight this fight against Veteran suicide.  For those who go out and raise over $1\,000 in pledges for the march they will be recognized before and after the completion of the march with a special award for their efforts.\n\n Register Now\n\n \n\n Volunteer\n\n \n\n Sponsorship\n\n \n\n Pledge Form\n\n \n\n Boot Campaign\n\n \n\n Event Details

SUMMARY:3rd Annual Lakeshore Games
DESCRIPTION:The Lakeshore Games is an annual fitness competition hosted by CrossFit Manitowoc and CrossFit Eastern Ridge that raises money for local charities. The competition is divided into two divisions: Rx and Scaled. The two divisions ensure that the event could be both challenging for the experienced athletes\, yet attainable for the more novice athletes. \nThe inaugural event was hosted at CrossFit Eastern Ridge in August 2014\, and the overwhelmingly positive responses from participants indicated that we needed to continue the event and GROW the event. Our first year involved 70 athletes across the two divisions\, and in 2015 we moved to a new larger location at Riverview Middle School and had 85 athletes competing and upwards of 40 volunteers.  In 2016\, we are introducing a Partner Scaled Division alongside the RX Individual Division which will again be hosted at Riverview Middle School. \nThe proceeds we raise from registration costs and event proceeds is donated to the charity chosen for that year. ‘Winners’ of the competition are awarded Swag Bags donated by our sponsors. \nWhat we’re all about: \nWe pride ourselves on building this competition with a dual focus: \nHelp others in need\nUse our God-given health and fitness to “WOD for a Cause”
